TraderPlanet.com and Market Technologies, LLC Team up to Support the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
Wesley Chapel, FL, October 27, 2011 – As part of their mission to give back to the community and to support charitable causes, TraderPlanet.com and Market Technologies, LLC came together to support the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on October 22, 2011.
Employees of both companies encouraged everyone to wear pink. For each person dressed in pink, TraderPlanet.com and Market Technologies, LLC made a donation. All of the money went directly to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
“Both TraderPlanet.com and Market Technologies were founded to help people better their lives through financial gain. We get involved in as many charitable events as possible to help people better their lives by having us raise money and donate funds to the cause, in this case to fight against cancer. In a weak economy, we feel even more responsible to engage in these activities and our commitment to charitable causes continues to grow knowing that other companies are pulling back,” said Lane Mendelsohn, Founder of TraderPlanet.com
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a non-competitive, 5k walk to raise money and awareness for breast cancer and provide hope to people facing this disease. The money raised through Making Strides Against Breast Cancer helps save lives by helping people stay well, and helping people get well, by finding cures, and fighting back. Just last year, supporters raised more than $60 million nationwide to help the American Cancer Society save lives and create a world with less breast cancer.
While, TraderPlanet.com and Market Technologies, LLC make financial donations on behalf of employees, employees of both enterprises frequently still choose to participate in local events as representatives of the companies.
“During the event, survivors spoke of their battle with cancer and their success in beating it. There were also men, women, and children who told stories for their daughters, mothers, sisters, aunts, grandmas and friends who had not survived and weren’t there to speak for themselves.” said Nancy Carpenter, Administrative Assistant at Market Technologies. “I was truly inspired by everyone there. It was an amazing day and I am so glad I was able to be a part of it.”
